Buhari mourns Professor of Arithmetic, Aderemi Kuku

President Muhammadu Buhari has condoled with the family of renowned mathematician and scientist, Prof. Aderemi Kuku, over the passing of the scholar and administrator.

In a condolence message by his spokesman, Femi Adesina, on Tuesday, Buhari acknowledged that late Kuku’s work would proceed to face as an affidavit of his diligence and brilliance.

He, subsequently, joined the academia, in Nigeria and abroad, in mourning the researcher and author, who turned a full Professor of Arithmetic in 1982, on the age of 41.

He acknowledged that the professor persistently contributed to world data, serving variously as President of the African Mathematical Union (AMU), Member of the Worldwide Mathematical Union Charge on Enchancment and Alternate and President of The African Academy of Sciences.

Buhari well-known that the late scholar’s drive and love for data earned him many recognitions and awards.

He acknowledged such awards included NNOM (Nigerian Nationwide Order of Benefit), the perfect honor in Nigeria for instructional excellence, OON (Officer of the Order of the Niger), Fellow of the American Mathematical Society, Fellow of the Mathematical Affiliation of Nigeria and Fellow of The World Academy of Sciences.

Buhari prayed for repose of the soul of the departed, and God’s comfort for his family. NAIJATABLOID
