After committing the crime, he submitted himself to the police who charged him to court.

A High Court ordered that the defendant be hanged by the neck till he died.

The presiding judge, Justice Nathan Musa said he found the wrestler guilty of the offence.

The judge said that the prosecution proved beyond reasonable doubt that the convict murdered the deceased.

He said: “As stated in my judgment, the convict is convicted for culpable homicide punishable with death. My hands are therefore tied. I cannot do otherwise.

“Therefore, the convict is accordingly sentenced to death by hanging as provided by section 192(b) of Penal Code Law.”

According to the prosecution, the wrestler pushed his wife to the ground and hit her with a pestle.
