-

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has reported an auto crash on the Agbara-Badagry expressway in Lagos State, resulting in injuries to two individuals.

Confirming the incident, Mr. William Manga, the Commander of the FRSC Badagry Unit, disclosed that the accident occurred around 12:54 a.m. on Monday. The command received notification of the crash at approximately 12:57 a.m., with officers promptly dispatched to the scene.

The collision, involving a Howo truck with registration number KZR73ZT and a Mazda car with registration number KTU900BK, transpired at the Ibereko Barracks axis of the Badagry expressway.

Upon arrival at 1:02 a.m., FRSC personnel discovered that a male and a female occupant of the vehicles had sustained injuries. Urgent medical attention was administered, and the injured individuals were swiftly transported to the General Hospital, Badagry, for further treatment.

Attributing the cause of the crash to speeding and wrongful overtaking, Manga emphasized the importance of caution, especially due to the ongoing use of a single lane on the Agbara-Badagry expressway.

Motorists were advised to adhere strictly to speed limits and conduct regular vehicle inspections to identify and rectify any mechanical faults promptly.

The FRSC reiterated its commitment to promoting road safety and urged all road users to prioritize caution and compliance with traffic regulations to prevent avoidable accidents.
