Arise TV presenter, Rufai Oseni, has hit out at Super Eagles following their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, final defeat against Ivory Coast on Sunday.
Oseni, in a series of tweets via his X account after the game, said Jose Peseiro’s men gave a ‘woeful’ display against the host, adding that they only had just one shot on goal.
He tweeted, “Don’t politicize this loss, it’s not about politics, the team was woeful.
“We had just one shot on goal! We were terrible today.
“So upset I really hoped the boys would win it for those that died during the semifinals.That makes me sad.
“So let’s go back to our problems, food is expensive ooo.”
Ivory Coast came from behind to beat Nigeria 2-1.
William Troost-Ekong scored for Nigeria, while Franck Kessie and Sebastien Haller scored for Ivory Coast.
