Bayelsa Queens Chairman Confident of Super Six Finish

Bayelsa Queens chairman Pastor Robin Apreala says Wednesday’s victory against Ekiti Queens in the Nigeria Women Premier Football NWPL has brought more positives to the former NWFL champion’s hopes of winning the league.

The Prosperity girls beat Ekiti Queens 1-0 with Abiola Blessing 78 minute goal proving the difference between both sides with rivals Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt losing 4-1 to Edo Moses Adaku’s Edo Queens.

Reacting to the victory Pastor Apreala described the results as a smooth victory for the former NWFL league champions, pointing out the girls are leaving nothing to chance in their pursuit of the title.

According to him every game is important to his side and that dropping points would not be nice for the girls, noting that the way the club can put smiles on the faces of Bayelsans and the government was to reclaim the trophy to compliment government effort.

He commended the girls for their doggedness and commitment throughout the encounter, saying that the victory is an affirmation of champions, urging them not to rest on their oars till the aim is achieved.

The soft spoken Apreala lauded the governor Senator Douye Diri and his Deputy Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo and permanent Secretary Ministry of Youths and Sports Development Mrs. Grace Alagoa for the continuous support, assuring them of qualifying for the super six.
