Medeama SC media officer Patrick Akoto believes their CAF Champions League preliminary round match against Remo Stars will reignite the rivalry between Ghana and Nigeria.
The Ghanaian Premier League champions will take on Remo Stars in the first leg at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday.
Akoto stated that fans can look forward to an interesting encounter.
“It’s a much talked about encounter in Ghana we will welcome our brother to Cape Coast as we battle it out in the first leg,” Akoto stated.
“Since the draw was made, the major talking point was Ghana qualifying for the World Cup at the expense of Nigeria and Nigerians wanting their revenge through the inter-club competition.
“The encounter will definitely be a sell out for both teams.”
