Chelsea offer Real Madrid two top players to avoid FFP breach

Reports suggest that Chelsea have attempted to offload Enzo Fernandez and Marc Cucurella to Real Madrid as they seek to avoid breaching Financial Fair Play, FFP, rules.

Since taken over by the Todd Boehly-led consortium in 2022, the Blues have spent extensively on signing new players and securing long-term contracts, prompting concerns about a potential FFP breach.

As per Football365, the Premier League’s west London club is now looking to raise funds by selling players, with Conor Gallagher linked with a move away and Fernandez and Cucurella being offered to Real Madrid.

Fernandez was purchased from Benfica for £106 million in January 2023 and has been a standout contributor for Chelsea, making 57 appearances and scoring seven goals.

Cucurella, on the other hand, joined the Blues from Brighton & Hove Albion for £60 million in 2022, but his performances have been inconsistent.
