Chuba Akpom wins January POTM Award

Middlesbrough striker, Chuba Akpom has won the Championship POTM for the second time this season.

Akpom, 27, saw off stiff competition from nominees Elijah Adebayo (Luton Town), Antoine Semenyo (Bristol City, now at Bournemouth), Teemu Pukki (Norwich City), Ian Maatsen (Burnley), and Kasey Palmer (Coventry City) to win the January player of the Month award.

The Forward was in superb form in the month of January, netting three times and assisted one.

Currently, he tops the Goal scorer’s chart in the Championship, with 17 goals in 25 matches.

The English-born forward was linked with transfer to Crystal Palace and Everton in the last transfer window.
