Cristiano Ronaldo Fined and Banned in Saudi – Latest Sports News In Nigeria

Ronaldo, 39, who helped Al-Nassr secure a 3-2 victory, is reported to have made an offensive gesture in response to Al-Shabab fans chanting “Messi.”

The Saudi Arabia Football Federation’s Disciplinary and Ethics Committee announced that the Portuguese will be banned from the next match against Al-Hazm and fined £4,190 with half of the amount going to Al-Shabab and the other half to the federation.

The decision is declared non-appealable. Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in January 2023 and currently leads the league’s top scorers with 22 goals.

This incident marks the second time he has faced controversy in the Saudi Pro League for provocative gestures.
