Cristiano Ronaldo added to his goal tally once again as Al Nassr beat Steven Gerrard’s Al Ettifaq 3-1 to extend their poor run of form.
The Liverpool legend is currently in the third senior management job of his career having joined the Saudi Pro League side in July.
Former Reds Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum also joined him as part of Saudi Arabia’s huge summer influx of talent.
Al Ettifaq had a promising start to the season and beat Al Nassr on the opening weekend, but the latter got revenge in October.
Tensions boiled over when they knocked them out of the King’s Cup, and Ronaldo and co. beat them once again on Friday night.
Former Manchester United left-back Alex Telles opened the scoring for Al Nassr with a stunning volley into the top-left corner.

Marcelo Brozovic, who signed from Inter Milan in the summer, scored their second before Ronaldo made it 3-0 with a penalty.
Mohammed Al Kuwaykibi scored late on for Al Ettifaq but it wasn’t enough to salvage a comeback as they eventually fell to defeat.
The result now means Gerrard’s side are winless in their last eight games across all competitions, with half of those being losses.
Al Ettifaq also sit 8th in the Saudi Pro League and 16 points behind Al Nassr, who are 2nd thanks to their 13th win of the campaign.
Ronaldo’s goal was his 21st of the season and 17th in the league as he remains top of the scoring charts in the Saudi top-flight.
He and fellow former United man Telles were on hand to inflict more misery on Liverpool icon Gerrard, who hasn’t won since October.
Al Nassr and Al Ettifaq are not due to meet again for the rest of the season as the Saudi Pro League hits the halfway point.
Ronaldo could be the man to help guide his side to their first title since 2019, but they’re currently ten points behind leaders Al Hilal.
Reacting to the win on Instagram, the 38-year-old said: “Third consecutive win! We’re hungry for more, let’s keep going Al Nassr!”
