Cyriel Dessers Insists PSV Fans Won’t Scare Rangers In UCL Playoff

Nigerian star, Cyriel Dessers has insisted that his team, Glasgow Rangers wouldn’t be moved by the anticipated hostile atmosphere at PSV Eindhoven during the second leg of the UEFA Champions League playoff game later today, August 30.

At 8 p.m. later tonight, Rangers would fight from start to finish to ensure that they qualify for the Champions League group stage ahead of PSV away at Philips Stadion.

The first leg of the tie at the Ibrox Stadium on August 22 ended in a 2-2 draw which means that either Ranges or PSV must emerge winners in tonight’s game.

During the first leg of the tie, Cyriel Dessers assisted Rabbi Matondo to score the second goal for the Light Blues. He has scored a goal and provided two assists so far in the Champions League qualification series.

Ahead of the second leg of the final qualification round, Dessers, 28, expressed his confidence in his teammates to get the needed result against PSV in the Netherlands even though the fans of the Dutch side are known for their hostilities during games.

“The atmosphere will be on fire there as well, like it was at Ibrox. I think Ibrox tops it,” Cyriel Dessers said as quoted by Rangers Review.

“I think the players at Rangers are used to the crowd here at Ibrox, they have experience in the Champions League.

“I know they can handle this crowd as well. We will be ready and we will put in a good performance and hopefully that will be enough for us.”
