Deputy Senate President Barau, Nwosu congratulate Tinubu on 72nd birthday

Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his 72nd birthday, describing him as a visionary leader.

Barau urged Nigerians to support the President in tackling the nation’s challenges.

The Deputy Senate President spoke in a statement released to mark Tinubu’s 72nd birthday, signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir.

“I join all Nigerians and other admirers around the world in rejoicing with a great visionary leader of our time, the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 72nd birthday, on March 29, 2024,” he stated.

The lawmaker also called on Christians to embrace the teachings of Jesus Christ during the Easter season, pointing out the importance of peace, love, perseverance and forgiveness.

He urged Nigerians to reflect on the country’s status and recommit to prayers and sacrifice.

Barau expressed confidence that Nigeria’s challenges can be overcome through unity, love and prayers for the nation and its leadership.

“I congratulate the entire Christian faithful on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration.

“I equally congratulate our Christian brothers and sisters on the successful completion of the Lenten season, a period of 40 days of fasting and prayers.”

In the same vein, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, also congratulated Tinubu on his 72nd birthday.

In a statement he personally signed, Nwosu, a former governorship candidate in Imo State, offered prayers for the President.

“On behalf of my family, I join other world leaders and the good people of Nigeria in celebrating our President, His Excellency, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 72nd birthday!

“As you mark your 72nd birthday today, our prayer is for the good Lord to grant you good health and to guide you as you chart a new course for the transformation of Nigeria’s economy. Congratulations and happy birthday, Mr. President!”

DAILY POST reports that Tinubu had declared that he will not mark his 72nd birthday with fanfare due to the prevailing security and economic situation in the country.
