Entrepreneurial mindset vs a hustlers mindset

Entrepreneurial mindset vs a hustlers mindset

Entrepreneurs make use of tools and put systems in place to make them work more effectively, minimize waste and get more done. This can be via the use of digital technologies, employing staff, setting up a detailed pattern for his work as this makes for easy repetition of work. A hustler, on the other hand, believes in getting all he can get at the moment. He considers investment in tools, processes, coaching, and employees as a rip-off on his own gain. This innate greed is not inherent in entrepreneurs.

The reason is that entrepreneurs are looking at providing value for their community and the world at large. This value provision, the entrepreneur believes will make for a ripple effect that will impact his finances as well, so he focuses on giving as much value as possible and solving economic problems. The hustler, on the other hand, is not really concerned with the provision of value and or solving any economic problems. He is just concerned about making money at that moment or from the deal. This is the reason most businesses of hustlers are usually short-term deals, quick money from the rent of an apartment, commission from car sales, direct sales of merchandise, etc.

Entrepreneurs see work and business as a means to an end. This end can be financial freedom in the long run or fulfillment. Hustlers, on the other hand, need to hustle daily to sustain themselves. Any day they don’t work means a day without income. They become prisoners of their own systems.

Entrepreneurs are concerned with how their brands are perceived in the public eye. They go the length to make sure their customers are happy with their service. They do their best to avoid things that will tarnish their brand name. Hustlers don’t mind cutting corners for short-term financial gain. Brand building and positioning mean nothing to them, this is why a hustler can be selling clothes today, foodstuff the next day, some other product the next week because that is what they sense to be the current hot zone.

While honest hustling is not a bad thing in itself, the need for hustlers to evolve in this modern times is a chance for the long-term viability and relevance of their business.
