EPL: Free Hakim – Aubameyang aims dig at Chelsea as Ziyech joins new club

Former Chelsea striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has aimed a dig at the Blues in his message to Hakim Ziyech after the Morocco international completed his move to Galatasaray.

Ziyech endured a miserable final season at Chelsea, starting just six English Premier League matches last term.

The winger came close to joining Paris Saint-Germain in January but an administration error by Chelsea in the final few hours of the transfer window made the move collapse.

Ziyech then suffered further transfer heartbreak this summer when his proposed transfer to the Saudi Pro League club, Al-Nassr collapsed after a knee issue was spotted in his medical.

He finally secured his Chelsea exit this weekend as he finalised his loan move to Galatasaray for a £3million fee.

And in his message to Ziyech on social media, Aubameyang suggested that Chelsea had become a prison for his former teammate as the Gabonese wrote: “All the best my bro. Free Hakim.”

Recall that Aubameyang was also among the departures at Chelsea this summer as he joined French Ligue 1 side Marseille on a free transfer.
