FIFA Moves Nigeria’s World Cup Qualifier to Dar es Salaam

The 2024 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup final qualifying round, first-leg match between Nigeria and Burundi has been moved from Bujumbura to Dar es Salaam in Tanzania.

The world football governing body made the decision following several complaint about the state of the pitch in Bujumbura.

FIFA later agreed the pitch is not in good condition to host s uch important game Burundi will now host the Falconets at the Azam Stadium Complex in Dar es Salaam.

The return leg is scheduled for MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja on Saturday, 20th January 2024.

Winner of the fixture between Nigeria and Burundi over two legs will qualify for the World Cup to be hosted by Colombia.
