Former West Ham star Dimitri Payet continues to showcase his brilliance after breezing past Brazilian defenders with ease before scoring.
The 36-year-old is now plying his trade with Brazilian side Vasco da Gama after leaving Marseille, whom he represented for six and a-half-years in what was his second spell at the club.
Payet made 17 appearances last season in the Brazilian top flight, netting twice.
He is now gearing for the new season and produced a piece of brilliance for his side’s 2-2 draw against Bangu.
The Frenchman was participating in a summer tournament called Taca Guanabara, a summer competition involving teams from Rio de Janeiro.
Ex-Marseille forward Payet picked up the ball centrally, evaded two players, and unleashed a shot that was parried by the goalkeeper.
The forward then latched onto the follow-up before the away side could clear, turning one defender before unleashing a shot that cannoned off both posts into the back of the net.
The opposing defenders couldn’t believe what happened; one immediately falling to the floor, while another fell down on the turf astonished.
Payet joined West Ham in 2015 and spent 18 months at the club before returning to Marseille in January 2017.
Despite a short stint at the East London side which ended in acrimonious circumstances having refused to play in his final days at the club, the ex-Hammers star made an instant impact.
Payet managed 12 goals and 15 assists in 38 games in his first full season at the club before leaving for Ligue 1.
