‘Fuel Never Dey You Wan Go Fight War’

Burna Boy and Tinubu

Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy, has made a mockery of President Bola Tinubu over the proposed military invasion of the Niger Republic following a coup in the country.

Naija News recalls that President Tinubu recently wrote to the Senate seeking its support for military intervention against the military junta in the Niger Republic, but the request was declined.

Reacting via an Instagram live session, Burna Boy questioned how the war would be possible when the country is still battling with the hike in fuel prices.

The ‘Stand Tall’ crooner urged Tinubu to concentrate on tackling the current issues of fuel hikes following his sudden removal of subsidy.

Speaking in Pidgin English, Burna Boy said, “Wettin dey sub na? Dem say na War we wan enter like this o [laughs]. Fuel never dey you wan go fight war.

“How you wan reach the battlefield? You go use…. Wettin dem dey use that generator now do? Gas generator. E shock me. Wahala no dey ever tire Nigeria”

Why I Didn’t Chase Burna Boy For Collaboration

Meanwhile, Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda has said that he does not like chasing people for collaboration.

The 27-year-old during a recent interview with Cool FM in response to a question about doing a feature with Grammy-winner Burna Boy stated he does not chase people because he believes that even though, an artist got the name, he’s more talented.

The new father also stressed that he has not been threatened by new artists and that nobody can take his spot.

Bella Shmurda rose to fame in 2019 when he released a song titled ‘Vision 2020’ with a remix featuring YBNL boss Olamide.
