Enyimba forward, Joseph Atule says he is reaping the reward for his hardwork after scoring his first goal for the club.
Atule scored the reigning Nigeria Premier Football League champion’s first goal in the 2-1 win against Bendel Insurance on Wednesday.
Chijoke Mbaoma scored the second goal to hand Enyimba maximum points in the rescheduled NPFL matchday one tie.
The striker has struggled in front of goal since joining the Aba giants from Lobi Stars.
Atule said he was delighted to open his goal account for the club having featured in all their games this term.
“I’m very happy and it is a thing of joy because I believe there is time for everything,” he told the club’s media.
“Despite the performance having played so many matches without a goal I keep on working hard and am very happy I was able to score again.”
