IMC directs NPL clubs to commence Licencing procedure

Clubs in the Nigeria Premier League have been reminded to commence the licencing processes for the 2023–24 season.

The new season will commence on the weekend of August 26–27.

Following the submission of the season’s report by the Interim Management Committee (IMC) to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), clubs that qualified for the CAF Club competitions were invited to commence their procedures with the NFF in line with CAF Club Licencing Regulations 2022.

The IMC advised all participating clubs to take advantage of the early completion of the process and warned that only clubs that have been licenced will be registered for the new season.

IMC’s Head of Operations, Davidson Owumi, informed clubs to contact NFF licencing managers Nasiru Jibril and Queen U. Otarakpo for further information on the club licencing procedure.

Enyimba and Remo Stars will compete in the CAF Champions League, while Rivers United and Bendel Insurance will play in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
