Irish Chef Breaks Hilda Baci’s Guinness World Record For Longest Cooking Marathon

Alan Fisher Breaks Hilda Baci

Seven months after Hilda Baci broke Lata Tondon’s Guinness World Record for the Longest Cooking Marathon by an Individual, Alan Fisher, an Irish chef based in Japan, has broken Hilda’s record time of 93 Hours, 11 minutes.

The chef had claimed the record after cooking for 119 hours 57 minutes, 24 hours more than Hilda’s record. Guinness World Record revealed this on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.

According to Alan, he learnt of the cooking record in March and had been preparing to break it until he realised Hilda had extended the record in May. “Lata and Hilda’s achievements served as an inspiration,” he told GWR.

Hilda Baci has since taken to her social media platforms to congratulate Alan as she disclosed that she is honoured to have held the prestigious record.

“Huge congratulations to Alan Fisher! 119hours 57mins is a huge achievement, and I wish him all the best as the new world holder.”

Since Hilda broke the Guinness World Record in May, she has inspired many young Nigerians to break records in their respective fields, with Lola Mewu being one of the Nigerians setting new records.
