Kenneth Omeruo Endorses New Super Eagles Hero

Tanimu, who is making a return to the Super Eagles months since his initial call-up, earned his first cap in the clash against Ghana.

The 21-year-old center back recently transferred to Tanzania-based club Ihefu SC.

Having garnered acclaim as one of the NPFL’s top defenders before his departure from Bendel Insurance, Tanimu’s inclusion in the squad does not come as a surprise.

Omeruo spoke highly of the young defender, praising his talent and expressing hope for a formal initiation ceremony for him within the team ranks.

“He is actually a good player, a good defender. It is great that he has been able to join the team,” the 2013 AFCON winner said.
