Fresh from their emphatic dispatching of European champions Lyon on Wednesday evening, Arsenal are back in WSL action on Sunday with a trip to Liverpool.
The Gunners got their Champions League group stage campaign off to a dream start with a 5-1 win over the reigning European champions and will look to maintain their flawless start to their league season when they visit Merseyside.
They face a Liverpool side looking to get back to winning ways, having failed to score or pick up a point since their surprise victory over WSL champions Chelsea on the opening day of the season.

Leanne Kiernan remains a long-term absentee for Liverpool after undergoing ankle surgery in September. Shanice van de Sanden continues to wait for her second Reds debut, with Matt Beard describing the forward as a couple of weeks away from making her return.
Ceri Holland is set to return to the starting XI, having started on the bench against Tottenham last time out.

Arsenal continue to be without first choice centre back pairing Leah Williamson and Rafaelle, who are both sidelined with foot injuries. Lotte Wubben-Moy and full-back Steph Catley have deputised for the pair during the Gunners’ last two outings.
Frida Maanum was brought into the starting XI in place of Vivianne Miedema for Arsenal’s emphatic victory over Lyon, and rewarded Jonas Eidevall’s decision with a player of the match performance. Maanum’s inclusion against Lyon was overtly tactical – it will be interesting to see if she keeps her place against Liverpool following such an impressive display.
