Mike Tyson switches allegiance as legendary boxer photographed in iconic football shirt

Mike Tyson appears to have switched allegiances when it comes to football teams after being photographed in a Juventus shirt.

Iron Mike made a surprise appearance on Juve’s Instagram page and was spotted donning their shirt.

Tyson appeared in Juve’s new home adidas kit this season and the post had the caption: “Juve training gonna get a whole lot tougher.”

The boxing supremo flexed his muscles before showing the name on the back, which read: “Tyson 1.”

Tyson was in Turin shooting an action film titled ‘Bunny Man’ – a superhero film being produced by Andrea Iervolino and writer Enrico Remmert.

He will play himself in the film, much like his appearance in The Hangover films, where he did the same.

But this is not the first time that the 57-year-old has been spotted in a football shirt – and you would be hard-pressed to guess who he supports if you did not know.

In 2010, the Baddest Man on the Planet was paraded around London Road wearing a Peterborough kit of all things ahead of their friendly against West Ham.

Tyson, who is an avid pigeon lover, was in town making a TV show on pigeon racing, though he did admit he had no idea who Peterborough were to the home crowd.

The former heavyweight champion has sported a number of football kits in the past, donning the shirts of England, Brazil, Rangers, Wolves, Benfica and Manchester United previously.

Tyson is one of the most famous people ever in boxing after an electric career and is regarded as one of the best heavyweights of all time.

At 20 years and 145 days, he became the youngest boxer ever to win a heavyweight title when he knocked Trevor Berbick out in the second round.

In first 19 fights were won by knockout, 12 in the first round, as he gained a quick reputation for his dynamism and sheer power that left some legends on the canvas.

Among those who faced Tyson and were sparked out include Larry Holmes, Michael Spinks, Frank Bruno and Pinklon Thomas.

His boxing prowess saw him become the first fighter to unify the division and hold the WBA, WBC and IBF titles.

But as well as boxing, football also appears to be one of his interests and he has praised Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in the past.
