Three farmers were brutally murdered in Kadarko, Keana Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, over a dispute concerning a farmland.
The victims, who were working on the contested land, fell victim to an attack by unidentified armed persons.
A resident of the community who confirmed the incident said it occurred around the Railway axis of the community.
He said, “A group of armed men invaded a disputed farmland where the three persons were working and killed them.
“The armed men killed the farmers and fled before the arrival of security operatives.”
He revealed that the victims were Eggon farmers of the community who had come under incessant deadly attacks in recent times over land ownership.
The state’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Ramhan Nansel, stated that he had not yet received official information about the incident.
