Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo has lauded teammate Fisayo Dele-Bashiru as a ‘top player’ ahead of his side’s international friendly with Saudi Arabia, on Friday evening in Portugal.

Omeruo, who will captain Suthe per Eagles against Saudi Arabia, stated this at his pre-match press conference ahead of the friendly tie.

Recall that Super Eagles manager Jose Peseiro bolstered his midfield options by handing Dele-Bashiru a first-time call-up to the national team.
When asked about Dele-Bashiru, Omeruo told reporters: “Top players. I have trained with them, and seen them train.

“Fisayo, I played against him in Turkey, so the players coming in are top players.”

Dele-Bashiru has taken the Turkish Super Lig by storm following his summer move from Sheffield Wednesday.

The versatile Hatayspor star, who can play as an attacking midfielder, central midfielder and winger, has scored four goals and registered three assists from eight appearances in the Turkish top flight this season.
