Abia Warriors captain, Augustine Njoku, is confident of victory in their Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, matchday 16 clash against Gombe United.
Njoku said the Ochendo Boys are determined to secure maximum points as Christmas gift for their fans.
He also appealed to the fans to support the team during the game.
“It’s Christmas period and we want to present our supporters victory as a gift from the team,” he told the club’s media.
“We want to win conveniently so we are calling on the supporters to come out to support Abia Warriors to victory in the game.”
The Abia-based outfit will host Gombe United at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Thursday.
Abia Warriors secured a 3-2 win against Gombe United when both teams met in 2022.
Odoh Valentine ( brace) and Samson Obi scored for the hosts in the game.
