KAA Gent young winger, Gift Orban says he’s happy with his performance against Zulte Waregem, but isn’t carried away with the praises that have trailed the performance since.
Orban stole the show in Belgium on Sunday after scoring four times in Gent’s 6-2 win over Zulte Waregem.
The Youngster has now scored nine goals since he made his debut for Gent in February, more than any other player in Europe’s top 10 Leagues.
Reacting to the perfect outing against Zulte Waregem, the Nigerian said, “It is indeed the first time in my professional career. I had never even made a hat-trick before, but, it doesn’t mean much to me in the end.”
The 20-year-old scored with both feet, including a stunning free kick from 25-yards.
“Left or right, I don’t care. However, both feet are still firmly on the ground,@ a humble Orban said after the game.
“Especially the victory is very important.”
Meanwhile, the KAA Gent winger has been named among the Belgian Pro League best XI for the week.
