The competition for the 2023-2024 Nigeria Premier Football League top scorer award intensified as Kano Pillars’ rising star, Yusuf Abdullahi, positioned himself among the frontrunners.

Abdullahi put himself in the mix after a memorable outing on match-day 11, scoring all five goals for Kano Pillars in a spectacular 5-2 victory over Gombe United at the Pantami Stadium, Gombe, on Sunday.
