The hard-fought victory takes the Owerri landladies to the top of the eight-team Group A log on princely 18 points one above closest challengers, Nasarawa Amazons.
Next port of call for the Owerri mainstreams is an Oriental derby against neighbors, Abia Angels in Wednesday’s NWFL Premiership matchday 11 game in Owerri.
