Ogunmodede lauds Remo Stars players for bouncing back with victory over Insurance

Remo Stars head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede has praised his players for their determination after the home victory against Bendel Insurance on Sunday.

The Sky Blue Stars bounced back from last week’s defeat to South West rivals, Shooting Stars by edging past Insurance 2-0 at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.

Ogunmodede’s side moved to third position on the table following the win.

Remo Stars, who still have an outstanding game are three points adrift leaders Rangers and are still on course to win a first Nigeria Premier Football League title.

The gaffer bared his thoughts on the game against Insurance.

“I just make sure I go for the three points. Every game comes with a different situation and different moments. Maybe in the last three games it was like this. That is what the game entails. Most times you have no control over these things. The players have shown that they are key determinants in the game,” he said in a post-match interview.

“Coming from a ground where we lost to 3SC the last time, you know how painful this could be to us and the players want to get back to their winning ways. For me, they were a little bit under pressure. The most important thing is how they deal with the pressure which they did well.”
