Victor Osimhen scored a brace in Super Eagles 3-2 win against Sierra Leone in the match day five of 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers on Sunday.
The Napoli’s forward struck twice in the first half to put the three time African Champions in firm control of the game in Monrovia.
Osimhen, 24, has now scored 17 goals in 25 games in the colors of the Super Eagles.
The brace moved him beyond Ahmed Musa and Odion Ighalo. He also tied with Samson Siasia with 17 goals and 6th on the all time scorers list.
The brace also mean, he’s now 20 goals within Rashidi Yekini’s all time 37 for the three time African Champions.
The late Yekini bagged 37 goals in 62 games for the Eagles.
