Paseda moves against Abiodun’s re-election bid | The Guardian Nigeria News

Two-time governorship candidate in Ogun State, Rotimi Paseda, has vowed to mobilise the electorate against the re-election bid of Governor Dapo Abiodun in next year’s general elections.

Addressing various political groups and individuals urging him to lead them to an opposition party under his Paseda Movement in his Omu-Ijebu hometown, Ogun State, described Abiodun’s administration as “erroneous” and insisted that he must go.

At the meeting, leaders and members of the various groups across the 20 local councils pleaded with the Omu-Ijebu-born politician to lead them to any opposition party of his choice, as they could no longer endure the pains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration.

While his supporters urged him to declare his next party to align with, Paseda said that “consultation is in top gear,” promising to announce his next destination after consulting with elder statesmen and political gladiators.

The group further commended the ‘Awoist’ for his steadfastness and humanity, adding that they had been working with him politically since 2015 when he was the governorship candidate of Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) before proceeding to the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in 2019.

Some of the stakeholders that attended and spoke at the meeting included Hausa Community, OPC Reformed Group, Paseda Political Ambassadors, Omu Youth Association, House of Representatives candidate, Shaba Ategbedekare, Danmaji Hausa, Sakariyau Musa, Chief Oloolu Adenaike, Olusola Oyapidan, Mohammed Seriki, Prince Adedoyin Mayowa, Babatunde Folarin and Mrs. Azeezat Kogbodoku.
