Jose Mourinho has sent an emotional farewell message to Roma’s fans after he was sacked on Tuesday morning.
The 60-year-old was fired following a bad run of form that saw the team record just one win in five Serie A matches.
They also exited the Coppa Italia at the hands of city rivals Lazio last week.
Roma have already announced Daniele de Rossi as Mourinho’s replacement, with the Giallorossi currently ninth in the table.
Mourinho has taken to Instagram to post a parting message to the club’s supporters.
He wrote: “Sudore, sangue, lacrime, allegria, tristezza, amore, fratelli, storia, cuore, eternità.” (Sweat, blood, tears, joy, sadness, love, brothers, history, heart, eternity).
