In his original speech, Chukwueze stated: “It’s normal to happen. Just three games with seven points. It’s not bad to get seven points in this kind of competition.

Being second on the table, we just need to keep working hard. Although we wanted to be first, it didn’t happen.”

“Our head is only on the knockout stage at the moment. For now, I think we are ready to face any team but the most important thing is we have to keep working.

Tomorrow, next, tomorrow, any of the time. I think we just need to keep working under focus this time around. It’s no joking now the tournament is starting. I don’t think we are heading to a penalty. We are coming to win. I don’t think about going to the penalty shootout.”

Chukwueze expressed the team’s readiness to face any opponent in the knockout stages but underlined the seriousness of the competition.

He stated that the focus is on winning and not entertaining thoughts of a penalty shootout.

The Super Eagles winger concluded by emphasizing the team’s commitment to hard work, signalling Chutheir determination to progress further in the tournament.
