Tinubu focused on building equitable society for all Nigerians – Minister

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has said that the administration of President Bola Tinubu is focused on building a more just and equitable society for all Nigerians.

Idris stated this at the National Advertising Conference, held in Abuja on Thursday.

The theme of the conference was ‘Marketing Communications As An Enabler of National Transformation’.

He noted that the marketing communications professionals wield an immense amount of power and influence over the minds and opinions of the populace.

“This power is one that as you all know comes with great responsibility. To whom much is given, it is said, much is expected,” the minister said.

He pointed out that Tinubu seizes every opportunity to share his vision to, “build a more just and equitable society for all Nigerians”.

According to Idris, Tinubu is always quick to remind the world that he does not require sympathy or pity for the task ahead, and does not shy away from taking responsibility for the hard but necessary decisions required to pave the path to a transformed Nigeria.

The minister pointed out that Tinubu’s vision for Nigeria is encapsulated in his Renewed Hope Agenda.

He said this would deliver sustained inclusive economic growth, strengthen national security for peace and prosperity, boost agriculture to achieve food security and unlock energy and natural resources for sustainable development.

“Right from Day 1 the President has been decisive – and we can see this from the tough but necessary decisions he took regarding the fuel subsidy, foreign exchange regime, and fiscal reforms, among other critical things,” he added.

“We are reforming the tax landscape, expanding the National Social Register through which social welfare is provided to the poorest and most vulnerable Nigerians.”
