Umar Sadiq and Almeria are just one match away from achieving their goal for this season after surviving a scare from Alcorcon
Sadiq played from start to finish but failed to add to his 17 goals and 9 assists this season.
The 25-year-old created two chances and made two key passes but there was nothing to separate both sides for over 70 minutes.
Alcorcon eventually broke the deadlock thanks to Giovani Zafino’s 81st minute strike to put them 1-0 up.

What the result means for Almeria
Almeria started the game at the top of the Segunda table on 79 points.
But they have now dropped to second on the log after dropping two valuable points at home to Alcorcon.
Almeria sit second on 80 points, the same as new leaders Eibar.
Sadiq and his club still have their destiny in their own hands and will go into the final game of the season next weekend needing a win.
Only the first two teams are guaranteed automatic promotion to La Liga at the end of the season.
It’s now a three horse race between Eibar, Almeria and Real Valladolid.
