We’re Not Thinking About South Africa Yet — Plumptre – Latest Sports News In Nigeria

Following a goalless draw in the first leg held in Douala on Friday night, Nigeria has a chance to wrap up the tie at home.

The potential encounter with South Africa awaits, with Banyana Banyana securing a significant advantage after a resounding 3-0 win in the first leg against Tanzania.

Plumptre, reflecting on the draw with Cameroon, stated that the team is fully committed to the upcoming game against the Indomitable Lionesses, and believes it is too early to shift attention to South Africa.

“The goal is to take it game by game, obviously we want to qualify for the Olympics because we haven’t been there for how long now,” Plumptre said.

“So we are focusing on Cameroon, we aren’t looking forward to the next game yet. We have more qualifying games coming up in April but we respect them (South Africa), especially after the performance they put up today.

“We’ll take this result into the game, and try to win then move on to the next round . So it is game by game for us.”
