What Wizkid’s Father Said About His Son’s New Album Amidst Criticism

The father of Nigerian singer, Ayo Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has reacted to the new album of his son, ‘More Love, Less Ego’.

Naija News earlier reported that the new album is coming two years after ‘Made in Lagos’, have climbed to the number spot on both NG Apple and NG iTunes album charts respectively.

Before the album’s release, Wizkid dropped some singles, including “Bad to Me” and “Money & Love.”

The More Love, Less Ego album features both local and foreign musicians including Ayra Starr, Skepta, Naira Marley, Don Toliver as well as Jamaica-born Skillibeng and Shenseea

Arya Starr was featured on the fourth track, ‘2 Sugar’ while Jamaican artists Skillibeng and Shensea appeared on the sixth track ‘Slip N Slide’. American rapper Don Toliver featured on the track ‘Special’.

Tracks on the album include ‘Money and love’, ‘Balance’, ‘Bad to me, ‘Everyday’, ‘Deep’, ‘Flower Pads’, ‘Pressure’, ‘Plenty Loving’ and ‘Frames (Who’s going to know).

Since the song dropped, many Nigerians have expressed mixed reactions to it. While some applauded the singer for not disappointing them, others expressed displeasure.

Wishing You More

However, the singer took to his Instagram page to share a heartfelt message he received from his father over the new album.

In the message, Wizkid’s father congratulated him and wished him more success.
