The American has sold more than 65million albums worldwide and will headline the half-time show for the first time in his career.

But this won’t be his first appearance at the NFL’s showpiece event because he was one of the Black Eyed Peas’ special guests in 2011.

And he is delighted to get the chance to headline.

In a statement in September 2023, he said: “It’s an honour of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list.

“I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before. Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon.”

The rest of the half-time performers are yet to be confirmed but expect some massive names.

Ahead of the Super Bowl getting underway, someone traditionally sings the American national anthem.

Again, this is a huge honour and Diana Ross, Billy Joel and Cher are among those to perform the song.

More recently, we have seen Lady Gaga, Pink and Alicia Keys take on the role.

However, with just under a month until the match in Las Vegas, a performer is yet to be confirmed.
