Sunny Edwards had some choice words for the DAZN presenter after his weigh-in on Friday.
Britain’s IBF flyweight world champion is set to take on American WBO king Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez in a unification fight on Saturday night in Arizona.
Both men successfully made the weight earlier on Friday as they scaled 111.6lbs apiece.
However, when it came to the ceremonial weigh-in in the afternoon, there was a significant delay.
Edwards initially arrived on time, but was not happy at having to wait for his late opponent.
As a result, he left the arena and returned later, only once Rodriguez had made his entrance.
After the ceremonial weigh-in took place, the American made a swift exit.
Presenter Justin Shackil, whose words were being played out on loudspeakers, said: “Bam Rodriguez says, ‘Hey, I wanna get out of here at this point, I’ve been waiting long enough to get on this stage.’
At this point Edwards could be seen reacting to the narration and saying, ‘Woah, woah, woah,’ as he demanded a microphone for his own chance to respond.
Edwards then seized announcer David Diamante’s mic and said: “Just to correct the broadcaster, I was here at 12:30pm as stated when Bam was still getting the needles out of his arm for his drip.”

This allegation about Rodriguez using an IV drip to rehydrate is one Edwards has made during the build-up to this fight, but it remains unproven.
Edwards continued: “We had to wait an hour-and-a-half, whatever the time is now.
“So just to correct the narrative, I was here on time, Bam was late.
“I wait for no man, I came back when he was here.”
Shackil responded: “My apologies Sunny, appreciate you.”
However, by this point Edwards had dropped the mic and made his own exit.
