ZLP suffers setback as state youth leader, vice chairman resign

The Zenith Labour Party, ZLP, Youth Leader, Abdulrauf Aseneshi Ladan, and the Nasarawa State Vice Chairman, Mallam Muhammad Egye Onyapa, have both tendered their resignations.

The double departure was confirmed through official letters addressed to the party’s Chairman in the Obi ward, dated January 3rd.

According to sources, Ladan’s resignation was effective immediately, while Onyapa followed suit with his resignation letter on the same day.

This development comes on the heels of another setback for the ZLP as former lawmaker Musa Salihu Iyimoga recently left the party.

Iyimoga, who formerly represented Doma North Constituency in the 6th Assembly, has now found a new political home in the All Progressives Congress, APC.

There are speculations that the resignations of Ladan and Onyapa may be part of a larger trend, with both individuals believed to be loyalists of Iyimoga.

There are strong indications that they might join their former lawmaker in solidarity.
