Super Eagles and Kasimpasa of Turkey defender Kenneth Omeruo has maintained a positive outlook on the team’s performance despite their 2-0 loss to Mali in their second international friendly match during the March FIFA window.

Kenneth Omeruo, who led the team as captain, remarked that the team showed improvement in the second half and played well overall, despite failing to capitalize on their scoring opportunities.

“I think we played better in the second half. Overall, it wasn’t a bad game; we just didn’t take our chances and conceded two goals.

I believe we played a good game. It’s good, it’s fantastic,” Omeruo expressed.

Refusing to dwell on the absence of certain players, Omeruo emphasized the team’s ability to exhibit quality football despite the lack of goals.

“We could play good football between ourselves. We just didn’t score goals.

It’s a friendly game to test ourselves, and when the cup qualifiers come around, we can do better,” he added.

Omeruo’s optimistic perspective highlights the team’s potential for growth and improvement as they continue their preparations for future matches and competitions.
