NPFL24: Oginni Confident of Win Over Niger Tornadoes

Bayelsa United defender Oginni Olatunbosun says the Prosperity Boys are fully prepared for the Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL matchday twenty four showdown with Niger Tornadoes at the Samson Siasia Stadium.

The Prosperity Boys have been in a phenomenal form since the commencement of the stanza of the league winning four and losing one against Remo Stars last weekend in Ikenne Ogun State.

Oginni in pre match interview, said the target of the team is to win every game to remain in the league, stating that their recent performance in the NPFL was a pointer that the team is determined to sustain the elite division.

Oginni Olatunbosun who joined Bayelsa United from NPFL side Kwara United noted that they are going to approach the game like a cup final, maintaining that the team is going to win the match against Niger Tornadoes.

Despite the Prosperity Boys current position on the NPFL Oginni believes that the former Aiteo Cup champions will finish the 2023/24 season NPFL in a respectable position, pointing out that the appointment of Meremu Okara has lifted the souls of every player in the team.

He asserted that they have put the disappointment of the results in the first round behind them and are now focused on putting smiles in the faces of the fans and Bayelsans.

He lauded the fans for their prayers and support throughout, describing them as the most faithful fans in the world.

Niger Tornadoes are winless against Bayelsa United in the last two games the Prosperity Boys beat Niger Tornadoes 2-0 in the final of NPFL game last while the first leg ended 1-1 at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.
