Scarlet Gomez and Bimbo Ademoye Earn Nominations for Most Popular Actress

Nollywood stars Scarlet Gomez, Bimbo Ademoye, and Nancy Isime lead the nominations at the NET Honours Award 2023, as the organizers unveil the list of nominees for the seventh edition of the people’s choice award on Friday, December 15, 2023.

Scarlet Gomez has gained the spotlight through her lead role in Showmax’s Original series ‘Wura,’ while Bimbo Ademoye continues to impress in Nollywood with her performance in ‘Anikulapo.’ 

Nancy Isime pushes boundaries with her roles in Kayode Kasum’s ‘Obara’M’ and ‘Shanty Town.’ 

These talented actresses join the ranks of stars like Funke Akindele, who holds the record for the highest-grossing film in Nollywood with her 2022 production ‘Battle On Buka Street,’ Nse Ikpe-Etim with her award-winning role in ‘Shanty Town,’ and Toyin Abraham with her widely discussed film ‘Ijakumo: The Born Again Stripper.’

As Nollywood’s emerging talents expand their horizons and capture an international audience through streaming platforms, anticipation builds for the announcement of the winner of the Most Popular Actress award on Friday, December 22, 2023. 

The winners will be revealed on Netng’s website and social media platforms.

Online voting for the 18 voting categories is open from Friday, December 15, to Tuesday, December 19, 2023, on thenet.ng/voting.
